BLACKWAGON is 26% owned by ZENZELE Development Trust ("Trust"), a Trust incorporated under the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Act in South Africa.
The Trust was formed to seek opportunities to invest in, in a manner that encourages and supports entrepreneurship, deploying its resources into companies whose values and principles are consistent with those of the Trust.
The Trust also provides housing solutions, educational bursaries and other types of related assistance in a manner that ensures the sustainability of the businesses in the long term.
The beneficiaries of the Trust are black people, in accordance with the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Act.
Blackwagon has a level 2 empowerment rating, according to a recent (May 2010) assessment and verification process conducted by independent BBBEE rating company, Empowerdex.
